BlackBerry Native Application Beta Version to be Launched in 2011 by Egypt Yellow Pages

Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd, the Local Search Company, announced that it is working on a BlackBerry Native application and plans to launch the beta version in January 2011.

As like other applications developed by Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd and available on, the BlackBerry Native application will be downloadable and free of charge and on the website. This is especially important since BlackBerry App World is not yet available in Egypt, making the only place to obtain the application currently.

The application will support a local search feature utilizing the GPS system in the phone. Using BlackBerry maps, it will show users locations of nearby businesses and includes routing capabilities, allowing users to easily obtain directions to these businesses.

Among other features, the BlackBerry Native application will also be equipped for social networking, including user-sharing on Facebook and Twitter.

“We always like to have something special for our users, and this time we have a surprise feature that will we plan to unveil at our BlackBerry Native launch event,” said Marc Lambert, Regional Managing Director for Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd.
