Version 2.09, in the App Store now, has had the sync to phone engine enhanced to speed up synchronisation speeds. Also, when a synchronisation is occurring, the App can now be put to the background and the user will be notified when the sync is complete. The Application security has also been enhanced and enables users to add a four digit PIN to secure access to the App on startup. The PIN is also invoked if you leave, or background the App and and then re-load it. The PIN supplements the existing login procedure required by users to login to the App.
This compliments users existing ability to ensure SSL is used for all cloud file interactions by ensuring HTTPS is set from the Application settings. SMEStorage also generates audit reports for any events on a file that can be accessed by Administrators for the SMEStorage business offering, ‘The Organisation Cloud’. Business users are also subject to access rights for all data they access. SMEStorage also logs the IP address from where files are uploaded and the GEO location as well as the IP address and GEO location of where the are uploaded to. This data can be viewed in Google Maps directly from within the App.
