SALES OF computer games have continued to spiral into an abyss of doom and destruction which can only be made any worse if the universe collapses in on itself [Cheer up for God’s sake. Ed].
For the seventh month in a row, sales of video games fell by eight percent. In March, retailers managed to flog only $499 million dollars of software in the US.
Hardware sales fell more than 31 percent to just $220 million and Vole’s Xbox 360 netted more than $96 million of that.
The most popular game in March was the RPG Kingdom Hearts II for the PS2. Xbox 360 titles Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter was the second-best seller, followed by The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Analysts are predicting that things are going to get worse, probably until Nintendo or Sony gets their act together and release some gear.
