Mac OS X Lion looks amazing on the display. 55inch is a wide screen size. Design:
Vu 55 inch SuperMAC LED-55XT780 3D Smart HDTV gives you a 55inch(138cm)screen size. This makes it really heavy. The box comes with all required accessories. Like Stand, Mounting Panel, TV Remote, additional portable remote, wireless keyboard mouse and set of cables/manuals. When you buy this product VU Engineers will fix that for free. You can hook it on your wall or just keep it on a table. You need a good space for it. Once applied you can use it with the remote or you can use Mac through Logitech wireless keyboard mouse. There is a usb panel available on the backside. You have to attach the wireless dongle on that. The package also has two pair of 3D glasses.
Vu SuperMAC LED-55XT780 is very sleek is design. Despite big size it is not really thick. it comes with different connectivity ports. They are dividing into parts. Like if you want to use a usb on MAC OS X Lion then you have a separate panel of usb devices. And on TV the usb ports are different. It is nicely organized. It is quiet heavy. So just arrange a good place for this TV Set.
Connectivity Ports:
All connectivity ports are placed on the backside. The TV comes with decent speaker also. You can add a nice home theater system to get great sound quality for the same. In the above image at the backside you can see there are usually three section. The first one from left is the power button to turn on MAC. Just press it and from source choose HDMI 1. You will see the MAC OS X Lion PC output. The second one is for TV and the last small one if or MAC.
Ports:
The first panel from the right gives you a LAN Port. This port is for using the TV App. Like Opera Browser, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Next to that lies two HDMI port. There are set Component and AV IN ports.
Ahead you can see there is a VGA Port, a Digital Audio Out port with more hdmi and a few usb 2.0 ports. At the end there is a separate panel available which is only for MAC. There are 4 usb ports with a lan cable. Vu SuperMAC LED-55XT780 has wifi and Bluetooth also. The wifi commonly work for TV and MAC both. Buttons to control TV other than remote are placed on the right at the backside.
Performance:
Vu SuperMAC LED-55XT780 is an amazing TV. It offers you great video quality. Watching HD videos on it is great experience. If you are using a regular set top box then you can find a bit blurry screen output. But if you have HD support on your satellite TV, then things are better.
1080P videos are crisp and clear. The color output is amazing. You can adjust the mode the brightness from the menu. The menu has few options only. You can instantly change a picture mode or configure 3D settings.
From the remote also you can instantly switch to 3D or launch a pre-installed application. For Mac we already have the wireless keyboard with a touchpad on the right side. I found a mouse more comfortable.
The Home HUB panel in the TV allow you to use various pre-installed apps. It comes with YouTube, Twitter, Opera, Skype, Vimeo, Picasa, etc apps. You can also install various applications. Vu SuperMAC LED-55XT780 comes with a unique feature of Social TV. You have to configure your Facebook account through HiSense app. You can check your wall, update status, etc through the app instantly. But you can't play games. And the wireless keyboard does not work here. You will have to use the portable or regular TV remote.

Conclusion:
Vu SuperMAC LED-55XT780 is a amazing HDTV. The display is great. Low resolution videos are blurry. VU does not add any technology that can optimize and increase the quality of low resolution videos. When you play it on the widescreen images are more pixilated. That is not a negative point but a common shortcoming of various big size tv set. Vu SuperMAC LED-55XT780 is a value for money product. The SuperMAC edition comes with MAC OS X Lion. Powered by Core i7 processor, 4GB RAM, Intel HD 4000 Graphics and 500GB hard drive. The TV comes for Rs.1,00,000 where you are not just paying for the widescreen display, but for a integrated MAC PC and various advance features.
