On USB 3.0 we were constantly getting between 150 to 200Mb/s second. The speed remains more stable when you are using Ycable. Still on USB 2.0 you can expect around 30Mb/s of constant data transfer output. Seagate Dashboard provide you schedule backup option. After connecting it can automatically start copying data.

High capacity does not means it will be slow. It is fast. Recommended to use on USB 3.0. There are few budget drive in the market which makes Backup Plus Fast two time costlier driver.
