Introduction
Google on 7th December, 2010 introduced the Nexus S before, the new benchmark for Android smartphones. The Nexus S does not lose out, but caused no enthusiasm from storms and as then the Nexus One. “The phone meets the expectations,” Google Official Blog also confirms what many suspected since the informal presentation of the Nexus S by Google CEO Eric Schmidt. In the development of the smartphone was the Galaxy Samsung S Pate. The Korean mobile phone manufacturer has adopted many elements from the phone. Among other things, the 4-inch Super-AMOLED display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels and fast Hummingbird chipset with 1-gigahertz processor. The Android 2.3 brings really busy, so the impression of the testers.
Nexus S was born from close collaboration between Samsung and Google and is the first handset to have Android Gingerbread installed without any customization, as Google did Mom. The S comes from the Samsung Nexus S Galaxy and the sale will be online but not normally through physical stores and online for the U.S. chain Best Buy and Carphone Warehouse for England ‘.
The Nexus S is much faster than the Nexus one. Nexus S is having the a 4-inch display SuperAmoled which is second only to the display screen of the iPhone 4. This is also introduced with the function NFC (Near Field Communication), which will in the near future to be able to pay directly with the phone resting on special sensors. It will also be possible to exchange data between compatible phones. Like all Android phones are equipped with all Google Apps and Android is definitely the best ever created.
The phone has a slimmer design than the Nexus, although the black plastic case will not appeal too many, especially when compared to the strength of the iPhone 4. The size of the phone is 63mm x 123.9 mm x 10.88 mm.
Hardware:
The Nexus uses the S Hummingbird 1 GHz processor and manages the great all applications in the background. The Super 4-inch AMOLED display with 480 × 800 has very deep blacks and good viewing angle and how it was written above; it is second only to the retina display iPhone 4. All over performance of the Google Nexus S is expected better. As this much faster than any other Android Phone available in the market. This will help to make the future phone.
Battery life:
When it comes to the battery life of the Google Nexus S then let me tell you that it is having the 6+ hour’s battery life with the data usage. Battery Life of the Google Nexus S left behind the HTC EVO for the battery performance. The phone offers the 400 Minutes of Talk time on 3G as well as 841 Minutes of Talk Time on 2G. Standby time is considered as 428 on 3G and 714 on 2G. Battery life was the issue with most of the Android phone which is resolved with the Google Nexus S.
Camera:
The phone has a 5 megapixel back camera with flash and a VGA front facing camera. Both the camera is giving the better performance. The phone also has a gyro sensor, the ‘accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor and light sensor. In the back is a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and can record HD video at 720p and even prior to this is the cam for video calls. So over all camera performance of this phone is average.
Software:
‘S graphical user interface has not undergone major changes, this will happen with the next version of Android (3.0). The notification bar is now black. The headboard has been modified and improved, we are not yet at the levels of iPhone 4, but it is faster than the previous Android phones. Finally there is a copy / paste and text selection on the display. This is embedded with the Google’s noise cancellation software which while working with the audio hardware, gives the high quality sound effect during calls. You will not get the background sound much in this phone. When it is compared with the iPhone 4 for the background noise during the calls, Google nexus S wins the race.
Gingerbread is the new operating system which introduced with this phone. Google tries again: The baptized in the name Nexus S device is the first smartphone that runs version 2.3 of the mobile operating system Android. The code-named “Ginger Bread” (gingerbread) family of software is to make some fundamental improvements, and will be published shortly as open-source software is, then so also other manufacturers.

Communication:
The detail with which the Nexus S really stands out from everything that has to offer the mobile industry currently is its NFC chip. NFC, short-range communication (NFC) is a wireless technology, the possibilities of the mobile industry for a few years enthusiastically says that so far, however, has refrained from pilot projects materialized yet in any mass-compatible form. NFC could be read by information with the mobile phone, which are incorporated, for example in the form of tiny chips in clothing or posters that explains Google.
Much more exciting, however, are quite different NFC applications. In appropriately equipped supermarkets, for instance, one could use to pay his cell phone; it just hangs on by a corresponding NFC reader. The deduction of the sums due would then be authorized online. Could buy tickets in the same way: Handy to keep at the slots; take digital ticket by NFC in receiving, finish.
Keyboard:
Google Nexus S has the user friendly keyboard. If it compared to the iPhone 4 then might be iPhone has the best keyboard but still the text entry is faster than the previous version of the Android phone. The prediction of word with the Google Nexus S improved and providing the less error. Also the copy paste feature seems to be upgraded
Conclusions :
Pros:
Google Nexus S did not block the SIM and is compatible with European HSDPA networks. If you are the user of the iPhone 4 then it might be possible that you might not be attracted to the Nexus S. But if you are using any Android Phone then you will not see the ‘forward to it. Long battery life is also an advantage of the phone which last long more than 6 hours.
Cons:
It is only having the internal Memory of the 16 GB, it does not support the external MicroSD card. If you wanted to increase the memory of the phone then you might not get any way to do the same. Keyboard is also not much improved. If your home country is other then the United State then you have to wait for the availability of same in your country as this is only available in United State.
